Medication & Psychiatry
Q: Do you prescribe controlled substances like stimulants or benzodiazepines?
A: Yes, but only when clinically appropriate. We follow strict safety protocols, including checking the Controlled Substance Prescription Monitoring Program (CSPMP), and require full transparency about any medications you are currently taking.
Q: What medications will I be prescribed?
A: Your provider will collaborate with you to determine the safest and most effective treatment. We never guarantee or promise a specific medication. Your history, symptoms, and goals will guide the choice of drug class and dosing.
Q: Can I use my pharmacy of choice?
A: Absolutely. You may select your preferred pharmacy. For BHRT or specialty prescriptions, we may recommend a trusted compounding pharmacy.
Visits, Lab Work, and Care Requirements
Q: What do I need to have ready for my first visit?
A: Please upload a current medication list, recent labs (if available), and a blood pressure reading to your patient portal before your appointment. This helps us provide safe and personalized care.
Q: Will I need labs for BHRT or psychiatric medications?
A: Yes, for some treatments, we require recent labs and occasionally an EKG or physical exam from your primary care provider. We’ll guide you through exactly what’s needed.
Q: How often do I need to follow up?
A: Most patients follow up monthly for medication management. BHRT patients may need more frequent visits early on (every 4–8 weeks) and then transition to every 3–6 months.
Holistic Services
Q: Can I book just holistic services without medication management?
A: Yes! Our holistic sessions—including health coaching, guided meditation, fitness, and reiki—are available à la carte or as part of a membership.
Q: Who provides the holistic services?
A: Our certified holistic care team includes coaches, instructors, energy practitioners, and wellness consultants, all of whom coordinate care with our medical team when needed.
Memberships & Pricing
Q: What’s included in a membership?
A: All memberships include monthly visits, secure messaging, prescription support, and optional holistic sessions (depending on your plan). You also receive priority scheduling and wellness resources.
Q: Can I cancel my membership?
A: Yes. You can cancel or pause your membership at any time with at least 48 hours’ notice before your next billing date.
Q: Do you accept insurance?
A: We are currently a self-pay practice. However, we can provide a superbill upon request, which you may submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
